To the wonderful Pearl Harbor Chorus!
This is an "Aloha! And safe travels" email to all of you. Sunday is a travel day for most of us. Please be safe and smart. Have your Safetravels Hawaii done so you can show proof of vaccination?
We have a change in scheduling - important news that will change your current plans, perhaps. Read on..
Original schedule - we were meeting in the lobby on Sunday at 3:45 pm for our 4:00 rehearsal. CHANGED to: Meet in the lobby at 6:45 pm for a 7:00 rehearsal. This may change your plans for dinner, and give you more time to get settled in your room, do a bit of sightseeing.
The 7:00 pm rehearsal will conclude at 8:00 pm at the latest. We will run the beginning of every song in performance order. We only get one time to make a lasting, great impression on our audiences, so this skill is critical. It has to be in the success groove on the very first note. We will then run all songs and they will all be wonderful!!!
You will receive a separate email from the SVC Team Coordinator, Piet Chini, that will give you the UPDATED ITINERARY. Please print it and bring it with you. You are responsible for you and you need to know where to go, when. The itinerary is totally different from our original one. We sightsee on Monday, Parade on Tuesday, and sing on the USS Missouri on Wednesday. Totally different.
Please pack carefully and thoughtfully. Please iron your red top and your pants before wearing them on Tuesday for the parade. Please care for them so that they look fresh on Wednesday. Again, look at the itinerary so you understand our schedule.
You have the standing arrangement. Print it and bring it. I will not be directing traffic - know where you stand. There will be slight adjustments, but that will not change the vast majority of the arrangement.
All is "full steam ahead!!" We are ready to have this once-in-a-lifetime experience - and what fun it will be!!
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Love and see you soon!
